Tomorrow is the official last day of school and Sixth grade graduation. Today is the Kindergarten moving-up ceremony. The art exhibition is up, and the Spring music assembly was a smashing success.
Next year, we will be growing our arts and music programs, exploring new materials, and drawing more curriculum links from classroom themes.
Students will be excited to learn that Kristin Wickham is returning in the Fall to resume teaching in the art department along with Emily Valenza. Emily Lindblad will continue to coordinate Kingsley’s music and drama endeavors.
Our Third Year students are very proud to present:
Stop-Motion Dance Party
Please stop by our newly installed Spring Art Exhibit, to view the backdrops and puppets that were made for this project as well as other fabulous artwork done by Kingsley Montessori students!
Our talented students are preparing to once again share their musical and dramatic feats- and perhaps even a dance or two! This year’s Spring Assembly will be shown in two acts, with the Preschool/Toddler showcase on Friday May 18th and the Elementary production on Wednesday May 23rd. They will take place in the Rabb Lecture Hall at the Boston Public Library, both starting at 10:30.
The Preschoolers have been exploring the music of the world, through songs, games, and instruments. The Elementary students are busy determining what it is to be a kid, from learning to play the recorder to singing the “Homework Blues” to performing their own original musical! Look for more information and previews coming soon!
We had a blast with the third grade filming our stop-motion animation projects yesterday! These very talented students worked collaboratively to animate their hand-made puppets with original choreography and background scenery.

Next week, we begin to edit the footage with sound and special effects!
